Dhanush's pressure, Vadivelu removed from Chimbu Devan’s ‘Maareesan’?

When it pours, it pours in torrents: this appears to fit the case of ace comedian Vadivelu the best. The travails and struggles that Vadivelu has been facing for the past 10 months appear to be far from over.
Ever since the change of guard in the State, the comedian had been 'ignored' and 'neglected' by almost all the film-makers in Kollywood who think signing him up might send 'wrong signals' to the powers-that-be in the State.

From an unassailable 'No.1' position, Vadivelu now finds himself in an unenviable position wherein nobody seems to be willing to sing him up to star his/her movies. Unfortunately for him, Mambattiyan, which was the only film which released recently, didn't scorch the box-office. Vadivelu now finds himself back in square 'A'; rather, he finds himself at the same spot where he started more than two decades ago.

Last week, it was reported that Simbudevan (who made the super-hit Imsai Arasan 23m Pulikesi with him in the lead) was likely to sign up Vadivelu in the Dhanush-starrer Maaresan which he was to direct. It turns out that Simbudevan is a close relative of Vadivelu and wanted to bail the comedian out by giving him a significant role in the Dhanush-starrer.

Vadivelu was happy and celebrated the occasion by throwing a grand party to his friends and relatives recently at a five-star hotel in the city. The very next day, ironically, Vadivelu got the shock of his life when Simbudevan told him that Dhanush had told him not to cast Vadivelu in the film and that he'd explain the reasons at a latter date.

For the time being, Simbudevan has assured Vadivelu that he wound soon start sequel to Imsai Arasan. with him in the lead! Vadivelu's heartbreak is easily fathomable, isn't it?
