Actor-director Samudrakani has decided that he would not accept any offer for acting in films at least for a year as the director in him has given a call to concentrate in directing a few films.

Samudrakani is currently acting in 'Saattai' that is directed by M Anbazhagan, a former associate of Prabhu Solomon. He acts as teacher and the film portrays the nobleness of teaching profession.

After completing 'Saattai' Samudrakani will start the Kannada version of 'Porali' and also in Telugu! Jayam Ravi is been roped in for his next directorial venture in Tamil that the actor-director will start once he completes his 'Porali' remakes in Kannada and Telugu.
