Simbhu's next film 'Vaalu' is kick started with the composition of music for the film.
Composer Thaman is the music director for the film.

    In a message written by Thaman on a micro-blogging site, the composer said, "Compositions for valluu kick started yesterday :) this film will surely rocK the box office :) :) this Diwali :)"

 Simbhu is pairing with Santhanam again after their recent hits 'Vaanam' and 'Osthe'. The film is directed by debutant Vijay and produced by Nic Arts Chakravarthy. 'Vaalu' is a comedy-action entertainer.

    It was allegedly reported that actress Nayanthara was approached for the female lead in the film and she has come up with three conditions to pair with Simbhu in the film. But, nothing has been confirmed about Nayanthara's role in the film.
  
Simbhu is currently acting in 'Vettai Mannan' (with Deeksha Seth and Hansika) and Poda Podi (with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar). He has also signed 'Vada Chennai', a film directed by Vetrimaaran. But, recent reports say that the film may have a major change with Simbhu all set to make an exit from the film and Jiiva replacing him.
