The film music, composed by music director Imman, released on December 20. This was done just a day ahead of Ajith’s Veeram – the other movie in the fray for Pongal. Veeram and Jilla have been racing each other since the beginning, from the shooting to the audio launches, and recently launched Teaser and Trailer head to head.

But it is going to be an even bigger battle of sorts on Pongal day, as both movies have another unlikely contender – Jackie Chan’s Police Story 2013.

Jilla also stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. Vijay and Kajal had earlier starred together in what become one of Vijay’s biggest blockbusters in recent times, Thuppaki. Jilla, too being is anticipated in a huge way, by both Tamil and Malayalam film audiences among both Vijay and Mohanlal fans.

Jilla has been produced by RB Choudary and the music is by D Imman and cinematography by Ganesh.
