Na Muthukumar's pen is mightier than sword, one has to say. He has emerged on the top by penning lyrics for the maximum number of songs in Tamil films this year.

The lyricist has worked for 34 songs in 2009. Some of his lyrics in movies like 'Naadodigal', 'Aadhavan' and 'Renigunta' won laurels to him besides topping the audio charts.

"At this happy moment, I thank my producers, directors and music composers who encouraged me to achieve this feat. It would have not been possible without their support," Muthukumar says.

"I am confident that it would continue in the years that come," he says and adds: "In the coming year, I would concentrate on bringing in more quality in my work. My New Year wishes to everyone."
