Ananya doesn't mind being called a snob!
Remember Ananya, the cantankerous, childish girl who played actor-director Sasikumar's lover in Naadodigal? It's hard to forget her, because for a debutante, she did pretty well, and we expected her to sign a number of movies after the phenomenal success of Naadodigal. But that did not happen. The actress was flooded with a number of offers, but none of them was to her liking and she daringly turned them all down! 'I was not too happy with many of the roles that came my way, and so I refused to act in them. Some people call me a snob and suggest that I think no end of myself; they add that being a newcomer I should not shun any offer that comes my way. I don't pay attention to such statements. Being in the public eye means having many people judge you. I have some standards, and I will not settle for anything less. And my wait has certainly paid off, because my next Tamil movie is Seedan opposite Dhanush,' gushes the starlet, who starred in the Telugu movie Meikudu and has signed on a Malayalam film directed by Padmakumar in which she will play Mohanlal's daughter.
