The latest on the Pongal releases is that Ayngaran International has decided not to take part in the Pongal race. According to the producers, the long delayed Vasantha Balan directed film will be released on February third week ie, after Valentines Day schedule. But Sarath Kumar's Jaggubai and debutant director's Porkkalam are joined in the race.


Meanwhile Aayirathil Oruvan has announced January 14 as its releasing day along with listings of a dozen Chennai screens. Kutty is also confirmed on the same day. Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam is yet to be censored nor has theaters been booked. Sources say that the release of the film may be delayed in the last minute.
