The audio of Ajith’s Asal was launched in a simple function at ‘Anna Illam’, house of the legendary actor Sivaji Ganeshan. The audio was launched by actor and one of the producers Prabhu and was received by the hero of the movie Ajith Kumar. Ajith attended the function in a different look along with his wife Shalini.
The others present on the occasion included producers Ramkumar, director Saran, music director Bhardwaj, Dushyant and Vikram the producer’s sons who were looking after the production.
Delivering his speech mostly in English, Ajith said: "A good film needs no publicity. I don’t want to talk about a film which is still under production. Aasal has great title value, right from the title everything is god send. Believe me when I say I don’t like narcissism in my films. Sameera, Bhavana, Suresh all have equal footing. As far as music is concerned it is the best so far."
Ajith also mentioned a song in the album as his favorite one. It starts 'engey...engey...' sung by SPB. Before playing the song Ajith says, "Actually the song written by Vairamuthu is close to my heart as it reminded me of the stabs I had received on my back from one time friends in real life and in cinema...."
