The audio launch of the film Mundhinam Parthene produced by Seventh Channel Manickam was held in Chennai yesterday.
The audio CD was released by DGP Jain which was received by directors Bharathiraja, Bhagyaraj and Parthiban. Last year debut directors Pandiraj (Pasanga), Arivazhagan (Eeram), Panneerselvam (Renigunta), Rajesh (Siva Manasula Sakthi) and Susindhran (Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu) were honored.
Director Bharathiraja presented the mementos to them.Kushboo who spoke on this occasion said,” There are no heroines in Tamil cinema. All have gone to Mumbai. Pirated VCD of Jaggubhai has come out even before the release of the film. Sarathkumar and Radhika have lost Rs 15 Crores.
They are bearing with this heavy loss. This shows their stable minds. Nobody else can ever sustain this heavy loss. Audiences are responsible for the growth of video piracy. Producers with great struggle bring their pictures to the theatres. In what way it is justified if these films are pirated. Save Tamil cinema from video pirates. Only if you save we can produce films.”Bhagyaraj said,” This is a testing time for Tamil cinema. This is also testing time for God himself. Even before the release of a film, it has been pirated.
The rape has taken place in sanctum sanctorum of the temple.”Police DGP Jain, South Indian Film Chamber president KRG, directors Parthiban, Gowtham Menon, Pandiraj, Arivazhagan, Panneerselvam, Rajesh and Susindhran spoke on this occasion.Most of the important film personalities including FEFSI President V C Guganathan, editor Mohan and actress Sandhya participated in this event.
Producer Manickam Narayanan welcomed the gathering. Director Thirumeni thanked the guests for making their presence.There was also a musical programme.
Play back singers sang the songs of Mundhinam Parthene. Hero Sanjay, heroines Ektha, Lisna and Pooja danced for the songs.
