Making a mark in comedy these days is M S Baskar. The actor, who has become a preferred member of the cast for many directors, bagged a State award too recently.
And if sources are to be believed, he is appearing in the getups of saint poet Thiruvalluvar and Mahakavi Bharathi in 'Thambikottai', a film which has Narain and Poonam Bajwa in lead roles.
"Sincerity is my strong point," says the comedian-character artiste, who adds the State Award for his performance in 'Mozhi' is a new feather in his cap. "This is the first big award that has come my way," he says.
"I must thank director Radha Mohan and producer Prakash Raj. When Radha Mohan narrated my part in 'Mozhi', I told him that he should give me at least a day’s time to prepare myself. Everything went off well finally."
