Diploma in acting, animations, special effects and screenplay commences in Loyola College

Veteran director and writer Thangar Bachan, director and actor Parthiban and director Vishnuvardhan were the special invitees of a special event to mark the commencement of the Diploma courses in acting,

 



animations, visual effects and screenplay was held on 19th of this month in the School of Media studies at Loyola College in Chennai.Dr Rajanayagam, Dean of the media studies stressed the need for specialized courses like acting, animations and screenplay.

Thangar Bachan while speaking said,” Students of media studies must possess political knowledge.” He further added,” These days film reviews are like synopsis of the story and the star system should be eliminated.”Parthiban said that in order to be successful in cinema, one need to rely on their own talents instead of depending on others.

Vishnuvardhan recalled his earlier days in Loyola College.He advised the students to cultivate the habit of reading since there is dearth for good screenplay writers.Rev Dr Joe Arun SJ, Dean of the External affairs welcomed the gathering and introduced the speakers.
