I am no competition for Suriya: Karthi
Suriya's brother Karthi had a dream debut with Paruthiveeran two years ago. He was immediately signed on by Selvaraghavan for Aayirathil Oruvan that has eluded release due to heavy CG work. Another of his movies yet to release is director Lingusamy's Paiyaa which is taking much longer than expected, to get made. However, his stunning performance as the unkempt amoral lorry driver in Paruthiveeran, continues to stay in the minds of audiences, who patiently await the actor's next movie. Let's hope Aayirathil Oruvan releases for Pongal, as has been announced. Karthi, like his brother and his father, is a very grounded guy. He has no illusions about the transient nature of success in cinema, and in spite of the resounding success of his debut movie, he has no airs. Compare him with his brother, and he humbly insists Suriya is way out of his league. 'I cannot even compare myself with Suriya, because his struggle and success are much greater than mine. He keeps raising the standards of acting with each of his movies. Every movie he has done since Kaaka Kaaka has been bigger and better. There is no room for competition.
