When most of the leading filmmakers and screenwriters are foraying into satellite channels, ace filmmaker K. Balachandar picks a new avatar. Don’t expect this to be happening in his real life, as it’s a mere delineation in his upcoming production ‘Muriyadi’.

‘Muriyadi’ – a remake of Malayalam movie ‘Passenger’ is directed by Selvah and is produced K. Balachandar of Kavithalaya Productions. The remake version has Sathyaraj, Ramya Nambeesan and Ganesh Venkatram in lead roles. It has been revealed that K. Balachandar himself will appear in cameo roles as a chairman of Satellite Channel.

It looks like the ace auteur has developed more likeliness for his onscreen presence as he’ll be appearing persistently in 2010 with so many projects including that off his protégé Kamal Haasan.
