Naanayam ready to roar
S.P. Charan's Capital Film Works is all set to release Naanayam this Pongal. Directed by newcomer Shakti K. Rajan, the movie has Prasanna and Sibiraj in the lead roles. Prasanna, who played a baddie in Anjathey, plays a positive character. The movie's musical score will be by James Vasanthan. Interestingly, actor Silambarasan and music composer Devi Sri Prasad have crooned for a song. The number ‘Thanga kadhava thora da...Vanga Kadalaa siri da...' is expected to be one of the highlights of the film. Ace singer S.P. Balasubramanyam, father of producer Charan, also plays an important role. The shoot is over and Charan plans to release the movie soon. Naanayam is an action-thriller-comedy about a bank robbery with all the comedy coming from Sibiraj in an almost-Sathyaraj, tongue-in-cheek, villainous style. Yes, Sibi is being introduced as the bad guy in Naanayam. This movie, a blend of old-fashioned mind games and exciting chases, promises to be an intelligent thriller. Apart from Naanayam, other participants for the Pongal race includes Aayirathil Oruvan Kutty, Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam and Porkkalam.
