Pongal Race 2010!

The season is here and we have hardly 6 days to enjoy the Pongal special releases. It’s now the time to get a sneak peek into the line-up of Pongal releases of 2010. Though Goa, Asal, Angadi Theru, Paiyaa, Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam and Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai were touted to be in for the big Pongal race, one by one all of them had to stay bay due to unavoidable reasons.

Finally we are only left with Karthi’s ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’, Dhanush’s ‘Kutty’, ‘Porkkalam’ and ‘Naanayam’. Earlier the industry was abuzz that Dhanush’s ‘Kutty’ and Selva’s ‘Ayirathil Oruvan’ might work against each other at the box office. But, nothing seemed to have disturbed the confident teams.

Aayirathil Oruvan

With the kind of impact and stir that the film’s trailer has created, Selva’s ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ is sure to stand tall among its competitors. Though with an ‘A’, technically rich, Aayirathil Oruvan’ is sure to take Tamil Cinema to the next level. Starring Karthi, Reema and Andrea in the lead, the film has Parthiban in an important role.

This Selvaraghavan creation is geared-up to see the light of the day after 2 long years of careful polishing. Produced by R Raveendran, this fantasy will take us back to 7th century and an unexplored world of shockers.
Let’s wait for him!

Kutty

Dhanush is happily climbing the success stairs after the consecutive hits from ‘Thiruvilayadal Aarambam’. The hero is again joining hands with Mithran Jawahar after their hit ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’ for ‘Kutty’.

Produced by Gemini Film Circuit, ‘Kutty’ has Shriya Saran as Dhanush’s love interest. Musical score is by the hot and happening music composer of South cinema, Devi Sri Prasad. The music of the film is topping the audio charts and is capturing the interest of the youngsters for the most part.

‘Kutty’ is a story revolving around a very energetic young man who lives life on his own terms, and wishes without hurting others. Coincidentally ‘Kutty’ is a remake of Telugu hit ‘Aarya’ that starred Allu Arjun.
