Star Studded: 'Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya' launch in Chennai

After launching the audio of his film 'Vinnai  Thaandi Varuvaaya' in London last month, Gautam vasudev Menon hosted the film's audio-launch in Chennai (for the second time, though) on the other day.  Gautam, who had gone on record many a time saying that it was 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan who inspired his plunge into the world of cinema, had invited Kamal Haasan to attend the event.

In fact, it was Kamal who released the audio cassettes and CDs of the film.  Another surprise invitee at the function was the dazzling and stunning-looking Sameera Reddy, who was undoubtedly the cynosure of all the eyes.  Gautam doesn't appear to be paying much attention to reports in some sections of the media which were saying that there was 'something more to it than meets the eye' in the relationship between him and Sameera.

Sameera, on her part, didn't seem to have recognized that Kamal Haasan was seated in the front row and A.R. Rehman, the Oscar-winner, was seated in a row behind her.  It was Gautham who took Sameera around and introduced her to Kamal Haasan first and then to Rehman.  Surprisingly enough, Trisha, the heroine of the film, came well after the event kicked off.

It was a bit disappointing that Menon didn't call on stage Sameera and Trisha; the fans would have simply loved their stars on stage.  Anyway, the songs screened were very nice and melodious indeed!
