Tamil film creates Guinness record
Shivappu Mazhai, a film by V. Krishnamoorthy, has creeated a new record and entered the Guinness Book of World Records by being completed in less than 12 days. Shooting and post-production of the two-hour Tamil film Shivappu Mazhai was completed in a record 11 days, 23 hours and 45 minutes, thus creating a new record. The earlier record was set by filmmakers Russ Malkin and John Gore for their film The Fastest Forward, made in 13 days in 1990. Shivappu Mazhai commenced on May 22 and was successfully completed by June 3, 2009, with more than 600 technicians working on the project. Director Krishnamoorthy revealed that the film is based on problems of Sri Lankan Tamils. The film is all set to hit screens on January 14, 2010.
