Varalakshmi, the daughter of Sarath Kumar, had her education abroad and shifted to Chennai only recently in an apparent bid to try her hand at acting. A trained singer, she was to make her acting debut as Silambarasan's heroine in the film 'Poda Poda', which was launched mid-way last year.
Due to some reasons, the film has now been abandoned and Varalakshmi herself reportedly opted out of Simbu's film. She would now be making her debut in director Bala's yet-to-be- titled film. The film has a couple of heroes in Aarya and Bala and is billed as a hilarious comedy. This would be Bala's first film after the debacle of his 'Naan Kadavul' more than a year ago.
Bala would obviously be keen to make amends with this film. It's as yet undecided as to against whom would Varalakshmi be playing the heroine among Vishal and Aarya. Going by the seniority criterion, it could be Vishal!
