Why Bala chose Yuvan?

Director BalaAccolades and congratulations are pouring in non-stop on Bala’s cell phone the moment the national awards were made public 48 hours ago.  This is a big boost to Bala’s career, who was badly hit by the well-made but commercially failed venture in ‘Naan Kadavul’.

Now bala has moved ahead to his next venture ‘Avan Ivan’ that features Aarya and Vishal.  The film, which is billed as a comedy entertainer, will hit the floors on 1st February. Janani Ayyar is making her debut as heroine in this film, which would also have action and romance.  Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, daughter of Sarath Kumar, was earlier in the reckoning for role that eventually went to Janani Ayyar.

Conceding that some of his producers might have ‘suffered’ losses, Bala also confessed that he had also ‘hurt’ many others and had been the reason for the delay in the making of his films.  Bala tendered an open apology to all those who felt hurt by his words and assured that a new ‘Bala’ would be visible to others soon. Bala said that he would complete ‘Avan Ivan’ within the next six months

Yuvan Shankar rajaBala has not approached his favorite musician Isai Gnani Ilaiyaraaja for Avan Ivan. He has clarified that there is no problem between them. Since the film required some ‘remix’ numbers, he has preferred not to ask the musical giant to do such things.  So he has chosen his son Yuvan Shankar Raaja to score the music.

Bala, who has had the services of writer Jayamohan for his previous film Naan Kadavul to write the dialogues, has now gone for another writer turned dialogue writer S. Ramakrishan to pen the dialogues. Arthur Wilson would take care of cinematography.
