Actor Ajith Kumar has now signed FIA Formula 2 racing tournament ready to kick-start on April 16. It’s worth mentioning that the actor had made his racing debut in 2003 with Formula BMW Asia Series. Off the late, Ajith Kumar took part in British Formula 3 Series at UK in 2004. It was a pretty tough competition at the National Class and ended up scoring two podium finishes.

After making high waves in his acting career, Ajith Kumar feels that it’s the right time for harking back to racing with the solemn feats of letting this sport would gradually witness the transcendence in our country. It’s noteworthy that Ajith is the third Indian driver to join the 2010 Formula tournament with top-charting Armaan Ebrahim and Parthiva Sureshwaran.


Says Ajith Kumar: ‘I am confident about achieving success this time with F2 grid. I have already tested some other cars in Malaysia and worked on practice runs in F2 at Snetterton and Silverstone much prior to the racing tournament starts. I am sure that my participation along with Armaan and Parthiva will increase more interests for this sport.’

அஜித் மோட்டார் கார்பந்தயத்தில் மிகவும் ஈடுபாடு உள்ளவர். ஏற்கனவே 2003 மற்றும் 2004ம் ஆண்டுகளில் சர்வதேச ரேஸ்களில் அவர் பங்கேற்றுள்ளார்.

முதுகுவலி பிரச்சினை காரணமாக சில ஆண்டுகள் விலகி இருந்த அவர் இப்போது மீண்டும் கார்பந்தயத்தில் தீவிரம் காட்டத் தொடங்கியுள்ளார்.

இதன்படி இந்த ஆண்டு நடைபெறும் எப்.ஐ.ஏ. பார்முலா2 ஐரோப்பியன் சாம்பியன்ஷிப் தொடர்களில் கலந்து கொள்ள உள்ளார். இது அவரது 3வது சர்வதேச கார் பந்தயமாகும்.

அஜித் தவிர அர்மான் இப்ராகிம், பார்த்தீவ் சுரேஷ்வரன் ஆகிய இந்திய வீரர்களும் பார்முலா 2 கார் பந்தயத்தில் பங்கேற்க உள்ளனர்.

அடுத்த மாதம் (ஏப்ரல்) 16ம் தேதி தொடங்கும் போட்டிக்கு முன்பாக ஸ்னெட்டர்டோன் மற்றும் சில்வர்ஸ்டோன் ஆகிய களங்களில் அஜித் பயிற்சியில் ஈடுபட உள்ளார். 'பார்முலா2 ஐரோப்பியன் சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் இந்த ஆண்டு சில வெற்றிகளை பெறுவேன் என்ற நம்பிக்கை உள்ளது' என்று அஜித் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

இந்தப் போட்டிகள் முடிந்தபிறகே அவர் தனது 50 படம் பற்றி அறிவிக்கவிருக்கிறார்.
