நடிகை ஸ்ரீதேவி வரைந்த ஓவியம், உலகப் புகழ் பெற்ற கிறிஸ்டி நிறுவனத்தின் மூலம் மே 6ம் தேதி ஏலம் விடப்பட உள்ளது. இது ரூ.22 லட்சத்துக்கு ஏலம் போகும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. இதுபற்றி, இவரது கணவர் போனி கபூர் கூறுகையில், ‘‘ஸ்ரீதேவி சிறந்த ஓவியர். அவரது படைப்புகள், கிறிஸ்டி நிறுவனத்தால் ஏலம் விடப்பட உள்ளது மகிழ்ச்சி அளிக்கிறது. இதன் துவக்க விலை ரூ.11 லட்சமாக நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதிகபட்சமாக ரூ.22 லட்சத்துக்கு விற்பனை ஆகும் என எதிர்பார்க்கிறோம்’’ என்றார்.

தனது படைப்புகள் சர்வதேச ஏலத்தில் பங்கு பெறுவது பதற்றமாக உள்ளது என ஸ்ரீதேவி தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இந்த ஏலத்தின் மூலம் திரட்டப்படும் நிதி, அறக்கட்டளைக்கு வழங்கப்படும் என போனி கபூர் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். இந்த அறக்கட்டளைக்கு அமெரிக்க முன்னாள் அதிபர் பில் கிளின்டன், டிவி நட்சத்திரம் ஓபரா வின்ப்ரே உள்ளிட்ட உலக பிரபலங்கள் உதவி வருகிறார்கள்.

Mumbai, A painting made by yesteryears actress Sridevi would be sold at Christie's, one of the world's biggest auction houses, for charity.

The proceeds for the work of art entitled 'Thoughts' would benefit Christie's 'Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth', which also has support from global personalities like Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey.

The auction for her painting, due on May 6, will open at 25,000 USD and is expected to fetch anything in between 40,000 USD to 50,000 USD, Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor said.

"She has been into painting since her very early days.

Whenever she finds time she paints. She has made many paintings since the last few years and some of them have been gifted to her sister, and even our family friend Salman Khan," Kapoor told PTI.
