Following the grand success of ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ and all the three versions of ‘Raavanan’, A.R. Rahman is back with a bang recreating the magical music with SJ Suryah. Both of them had previously worked together in ‘NEW’ and ‘Anbe Aaruyire’. Nearly after 4 years of time, the duo has made a comeback with ‘PULI’.
‘PULI’ is a Telugu film featuring Pawan Kalyan in lead role with India’s hottest model Nikisha Patel playing the female lead role. Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee plays the negative role .
We bring you a sneak peek into the musical album of PULI.
1. Power Star - Vijay Prakash, Tanvi Shah
The song has ‘Hosanna’ and ‘Veera’ fame Vijay Prakash crooning the overpoweringly attractive song with Slumdog Millionaire ‘Jai Ho’ fame Tanvi Shah. This is a title song singing praises of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. The song has stunning percussions with sizzling voice of Tanvi Shah…
2. Amma Thale - Naresh Iyer, Swetha Mohan This song sounds like a mixture of ‘Moondrezhuthu Kettavaarthai’ from ‘Paarthale Paravasam’ and ‘Markandeya’ from ‘New’. Naresh Iyer and Swetha Mohan makes sound the song fantastic with their energetic approach. The lines of rendition are so continuous as there are no gaps between lines.
3. Maaralente - AR Rahman, KMMC Choir
One of the best highlights of this album as A.R. Rahman himself croons the song with the patriotic appeal and KMMC choir accompanying have done a great job.
4. Maham Maye - Javed Ali, Suchitra, Milli Nair
This sounds to be a perfect romantic number as the singers have taken in this song with their best rendition. The song is really captivating to the senses when it is heard on surround system as A.R. Rahman has done a marvellous sound mixing.
5. Dochey - Shreya Ghoshal, Lady Kash n Krissy
The song sounds quite similar to English album ‘Outlandish’ and Shreya Ghosal takes off shifting her paradigm with the glamorous appeal. Last time, we heard her in such an ambient style was in Sillunu Oru Kadhal’s ‘Maja Maja’.
6. Namakame - Chitra, Madhushree, Harini
This is a purely devotional song sounding similar to ‘Gopalanu Haare’ in Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’ again a musical score from A.R. Rahman. The excellent combination of Chitra, Madushree and Harini stands out as a highlighting attribute. A.R. Rahman’s synthesized orchestration on stringed instruments makes it more enhancing.
On the whole, A.R. Rahman’s ‘PULI’ song is completely mind-boggling and is sure to make it bigger on charts following his grand successes. For those, who are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Endhiran’ music can keep themselves occupied with this album as it’s worth hearing to.
Verdict: Go for it…
