Producer complaints to Council against Dhanush
The producer of actor Dhanush's upcoming film 'Maappillai' has formally lodged a complaint with the Tamil Film Producers' Council (TFPC) stating that he wasn't turning up for the shooting schedule of the film and that he wasn't honouring the agreement. The film 'Maappillai' is the remake of the Rajni hit film of the late eighties bearing the same title.
Bollywood's Manisha Koirala, who got married a fortnight ago in Kathmandu, Nepal, plays Dhanush's mother-in-law in the film. Dhanush is said to be frequently absenting himself from the film's shooting schedule citing reasons of 'not feeling well'. This has caused delay in completing the film's shooting as per its original schedule, the producer has said.
Dhanush was recently blessed with a second son. The maha-excited actor has been taking care of the new-borne and his wife and reportedly has been staying away from all his shooting schedules, it is said. In this context, the actor is somewhat perplexed that his producer has lodged complaint against him with the Producers' Council.
Last heard, the Council is planning to call Dhanush and the producer and 'mediate' a truce between them. Dhanush, who has become a name to reckon with in Tamil films, reportedly had problems in honouring his call-sheet commitments when he started his career more than seven years back. After a long time, the problem appears to have returned to haunt him.
