Seeman penning a book in prison

Director Seeman

It's well known that director-turned-actor Seeman, who has been detained under the National Security Act has been lodged in Cuddalore prison.

What is unknown is that Seeman, who runs a social awareness movement by name 'Naam Thamizhar', has started penning a book purportedly containing his experiences so far in the film industry and in prison. A self-proclaimed supporter of the slain LTTE chief V. Prabhakaran and the struggling Sri Lankan Tamils, Seeman has been vociferous in his comments against the Lankan Government.

Seeman's latest outburst, which led to his detention, was when a fisherman as killed after having suffered grievous injuries due to the brutal attack on him by Sri Lankan Navy. Speaking at a protest meeting in Chennai, Seeman reportedly uttered something "which was detrimental to the integrity of the country" and has since been detained after getting arrested under NSA.

Seeman plans to spend his tenure in prison by completing a book which has been tentatively titled as 'Vendradhu Aariyam; Thunai Nindradhu Dravidam'.

It could be that Seeman is out to prove the old adage that the 'pen is mightier than the sword!'
