First it was said that Gautham, son of actor Karthik, would be the hero of Mani's forthcoming venture, as his dad shares a very good rapport with the director and it was Mani who gave an identity to Karthik.

Then came Madhavan, who has acted in the filmmaker's 'Alaipayuthey', 'Kannathil Muthamittal', 'Ayudha Ezhuthu' and 'Guru'. However, the actor was quick to deny this report of starring in Mani's next project.

The actor wrote on his microblogging page that unfortunately he has not signed any such project with Mani Ratnam. However, he would have loved to do a film with him if given an opportunity. The guessing game continues, so to say. But you know where the answer comes first? Here for sure!
