A longtime buzz has become official now. One of top production houses of the world, Hollywood's Fox Star Studios, has stepped into the south Indian film industry, through production of Tamil movies.
For that purpose, it has tied up with director A R Murugadoss, who has launched a new production house named A R Murugadoss Productions. Both firms will start producing movies in Tamil soon, say sources in the know.
They add: "Sanford, the Global Head of Fox Star Studios is visiting Chennai on Sunday to officially announce the entry of Fox Star into Tamil movie industry. The Hollywood company has big plans for Kollywood."
A press conference has been arranged on September 5 which is expected to be addressed by Sanford and Murugadoss. Grapevine has it that their first production venture will be directed by Saravanan, a longtime associate of Murugadoss.
