Popular yesteryear actress Kanchana and her sister on Monday donated Rs 15 crore worth land in Chennai to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

Accompanied by their family members, Vasundara alias Kanchana and her sister Girija Pandey handed over the registered documents of the land and building to the Executive Officer of the TTD, I Y R Krishna Rao at his official residence in Tirupati.

A release from the TTD release said the property is located on G N Chetty Street, a prime commercial area in Chennai. The actress has requested the TTD to construct marriage hall or community hall on the site.

Kanchana, who appeared in blockbusters like ‘Sivantha Mann’ with Sivaji Ganesan, said, “As a staunch devotee of Lord Venkateswara and Sai Baba, I have been doing my mite. My sister and I are really happy to give the land for a public cause”.
