Whether or not director Shankar would be directing the Tamil version of Bollywood superhit ‘3 Idiots’ remains unclear so far.  Gemini Lab would be producing the Tamil version, it is reliably learnt.  The latest info on the film is that actor Srikanth has reportedly sent feelers to the production team, seeking a role for himself in the Tamil version.

Srikanth has also reportedly said that he needn’t be paid ‘a penny’ to star in the film.  Gemni, which had earlier produced the Telugu film ‘Okkarikku Okkari’ starring Srikanth, might just consider his plea, it is said.  The reply, though, hasn’t yet reached Srikanth, who is waiting with bated breath as he has no film(s) on hand at present.

Srikanth’s plea of ‘no penny’ has been made only because of the fact that the film is directed by Shankar.  Whether or not Shankar agrees to this would be known soon!
