Suriya has been playing the lead role in director Murugadoss' upcoming venture 'Aezhaam Arivu' opposite the stunner Shruti Haasan, who would be making her debut in Tamil films with this film. The film has aroused all-round expectations as it brings together the hit team of Suriya-Murugadoss after their successful association in 'Ghajni' a few years back.
Art director 'Thotta' Dharani recently walked out of the film, Unit sources say. Queries with the Unit revealed that the award-winning art director was peeved at the way actor Suriya started instructing him about the sets when he told him that the sets should have 'particular specification' and possess 'a particular style'. Art director Rajeevan has now stepped into the shoes of Dharani for the film.
Suriya appear to be showing great interest in all his films and his involvement in all 'spheres' of film-making shouldn't become a thorn in the flesh for film-makers, it is feared. For, Shruti Haasan Ravi K. Chandran was also said to be on the verge of 'walking out' of the film after actor Suriya reportedly gave him 'unwarranted' suggestions about lighting effects and other technical points.
Chandran took up the issue with Murugadoss and is said to have asked the director to keep his 'hero' involved only in the 'acting' department and not in other departments of film-making. After Murugadoss gave Suriya a piece of his own mind, Suriya is now said to be minding his own business during the latest shooting schedule which got underway recently.
Last heard, Suriya is said to be 'offering' lots of 'unwarranted' advices to stunt Shruti Haasan Peter Hayne about 'setting up' the fight sequences!
