Director Gautham Menon's production wing Photon Kathaas Productions ('PKP') has been listed on the AIM market in London.
This makes Photon Kathaas, the FIRST publicly traded south India based film production company on an international stock exchange. It is honour for Kollywood, Gautham Menon and also AR Rahman as Chief creative mentor and Advisor to the Board.
Gautham Menon will be directing films exclusively for PKP and will also rope in other directors to make films under the banner.
Photon Kathaas' current production slate includes 'Azhagar Saamiyin Kuthirai' directed by Suseendaran, Veppam directed by Anjana, Nadunisi Naaigal and the Hindi remake of 'VTV' in association with Fox Star Studios by Gautham himself. The banner will also produce television series.
This is indeed a proud moment for Kollywood.
