'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' has brought a sea change in STR. The actor feels that the film has taken him to a new audience and that he would like to retain the good name the movie gifted him.
"For that, I have made a decision to concentrate on quality films henceforth. My forthcoming ventures Podaa Podi, Vaanam and Vettai Mannan are equipped with beautiful scripts," he says.
Saying that Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam and Shankar have taken Tamil cinema to the next level, Simbu adds: "Though it is unable for me to reach their heights, I will try to do whatever is my best."
Meanwhile, buzz is that Gautham Vasudev Menon has started making the Hindi remake of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' with Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson (of 'Madraspattinam' fame). "Some scenes to get the feel of the film are being shot now. The actual shoot will start next month," reports said, quoting sources.
