3 Idiots remakes in trouble
Earlier there were reports that film maker Shankar’s proposed Tamil and Telugu remakes of Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots will start rolling from December 6 in Delhi. But now it is learnt that the shooting has been cancelled as both the lead heroes, Vijay and Mahesh Babu, have reportedly opted out of the film. It is said that actor Vijay had a difference in opinion with the director regarding his costumes and look in the film while Telugu star Mahesh Babu is not satisfied with the star cast (which is dominated by Kollywood stars).
Srikanth and Jeeva will play the roles played by Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the original, while Sathyaraj will play the role of the principal. Ileana will enact Kareena’s role in both versions.
Some changes are being made in the script to suit the tastes of the South Indian audiences. Harris Jayaraj will compose the music and Manoj Paramahamsa will crank the camera.
