A.R. Rahman Foundation releases special 2011 calendar
‘EACH and EVERY glory belongs to GOD. – ARR’ is the quote on the calendar released by The A.R. Rahman Foundation in association with Worldlight, a subsidiary of Audio Media Education, in aid of the A.R. Rahman Foundation.
One factually interesting aspect of the calendar is that of the ten musicians (from Chinmayi’s classic portrayal of a traditional singer to Benny Dayal’s heart-felt crooning) featured in it, eight of them found their way into the industry through A.R. Rahman. The A.R. Rahman Foundation is involved in service activities like helping underprivileged children get access to education. The Foundation also provides free education on music for deserving students in Chennai’s Corporation schools.
These students are also being trained at the KM Music Conservatory by a world class faculty. The Foundation also aims to increase the intake of such students in the coming years so that it can reach as many deserving students as possible.
