Gautham’s Photon Kathaas Music launch: A starry affair
It was a grand affair at the Music Academy in Chennai last evening where Gautham Menon’s Photon Kathaas Music was launched. The event was very interactive and lots of fun. Aruna Sairam started the show with a devotional song an invocation. We all know about Gautham Menon’s multiple talents; apart from being a successful director, he is also a great anchor and dubbing artist. Photon Kathaas Music has already bagged the release rights of Kandein, which has music by Vijay Ebenezer. Gautham’s good friends Suriya, directors Harris Jayaraj, Yuvanshankar Raja, Ameer, Lingusamy, Suseendran, Parthiban, Pandiyaraj, Sangitha, Shanthnu (Kandein hero), Hosmin and Bhagyaraj were also present at the event.
On Gautham’s request, Yuvan also sang a few lines ‘Yen Kaadhal Solla Neeram’ from Paiyya. Harris Jayaraj and Suriya praised Gautham’s new effort and wished him all the best. Later, singers Krish, Suchitra, Haricharan, Guru Priya, Prasanthini and Srinivasan performed a medley on stage. Vijay Ebenezer was on the piano all the while…
Then music directors Harris Jayaraj, Yuvanshankar Raja and Suriya released Photon Kathaas Music label. Gautham Menon, all praise for Kandein songs, also assured that Guru Priya’s slow music will definitely top the charts. Later Gautham also sang a few lines with Dr. Burn.
At the end of the event, Kandein music was launched. Suriya, Harris Jayaraj, Yuvanshankar Raja, Bhagyaraj and Pandiyaraj released the audio along with the Kandein team. Interestingly, we have learned that once Vijay Ebenezer composed music for gospels and Harris Jayaraj played keyboard for him. Check this space for more updates.
