The recent rumors on Ajith Kumar's 50th film 'Mankatha' being dropped as urged producers to make official confirmations of the film's release status. In a recent press note delivered by the film's spokesperson, it has been confirmed that the film will hit screens on May 1, 2011 for the occasion of his birthday. The film's shooting is now proceeding faster on floors across Chennai with the same gigantic sets of Mumbai Dharavi slum being raised in 3 different parts of the city. This 40-day schedule will be completed shortly followed by final schedule in Mumbai and Hyderabad. As from the desk of producers Dayanidhi Azhagiri and Vivek Karunakaran of Cloud Nine Productions, the film will get released on May 1, 2011 for Thala's birthday.
