RGV’s political drama with Prakashraj in the lead?
Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma recently hinted through Twitter that his next film, a political drama based on Indian history, would be titled Rajakeeyam. Later, one of his followers in Twitter advised him to change the title from Rajakeeyam to Kurchi. Ramu instantly liked the new title and confirmed the same, adding that the title of his full-fledged film on politics would be Kurchi.
The director has reportedly approached National Award winner Prakashraj to play the lead role in Kurchi and Prakashraj too has expressed his pleasure to work with RGV.
Notably, this is not the first time Prakashraj is acting in a film based on some true political story of India. He appeared in the role of Karunanidhi in ace Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar (1997), which won two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards (South).
