Meena gives birth to a baby girl
Actress Meena became the latest to join the mom bandwagon when she gave birth to a girl this morning at Apollo Hospital, Chennai. She is married to Vidyasagar, a software engineer from Bengaluru. Both the mother and baby are quite healthy and will soon return home after a brief period of post-natal care. This New Year started on a great note for Meena, for the actress gave birth to a baby girl at a popular hospital in Chennai on January 1. "I am happy that my child was born a special day, 1-1-11" she says.
Saying that a name hunt is on, Meena adds: "We have not yet zeroed in on a name for the baby. It will be decided only after consulting an astrologer, based on her star and the time of birth."
Expressing happiness, Meena's mother Rajmallika, says, "We are on cloud nine. Both Meena and her baby are keeping well. I am eagerly looking forward to play with my granddaughter."
Meena, a popular actress in all south Indian languages married Vidyasagar, a software engineer from Bengaluru, last year. On the acting front, her 'Thambikottai' is expected to hit screens soon.
