Producer Dayanidhi Azhagiri and Gautham Vasudev Menon share a wonderful rapport as the young producer was privileged to have released his film 'Vaaranam Aayiram' as his maiden production. In fact, Dayanidhi Azhagiri mentioned that it was Gautham Menon, who designed logo for his banner name. The duo has come together for another project now.

According to the sources, Dayanidhi Azhagiri has acquired the rights of Gautham Menon's production 'Azhagar Saamyin Kuthirai' that is directed by Susindran. The film is based on the story authored by writer Bhaskar Sakthi and features 'Vennila Kabadi Kulu' fame Appukutty and Saranya Mohan in lead roles.

Susindran, who with his narration managed to evoke the laughter amongst Gautham Menon and Ilayaraja, has worked out the same magic with producers of Cloud Nine Movies that gradually urged them to release the movie.
