Robot (Endhiran) is a film which had Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai and was directed by Shankar. This high budgeted film was produced by Kalanidhi Maaran of Sun Pictures. This film did a whooping business and still continues to run in packed houses. This film was also dubbed in Telugu and Hindi. The Hindi version was titled Robot.

A R Rahman has composed the music. The Screen magazine of the Indian Express Groups conducts Film Awards Function every year. This year also this function was held in a grand manner in Andheri in Mumbai. The Robot film got two awards.

One award was given for best special effects and the other award was given for modern technology. Salman Khan was given the best actor award for the Hindi film Dabangg. Vidhya Balan bagged the best actress award. Sharukh Khan was given the Ramnath Goyenga Memorial Award for acting in the film My Name is Khan.
