Vijay fans allege political rivalry
A group of Vijay fans protested outside a cinema in a Chennai suburb, where the actor’s newly released Kaavalan is being screened. The actor’s fans said that posters and display banners of the actor were torn and faces blackened by unknown elements. The fans expressed that they cannot dismiss the act as just another case of vandalism and said they suspect political elements were behind the act. Vijay’s Kaavalan hit screens on Pongal day amongst various controversies and protests by distributors. The actor is also reported to be making plans to enter politics in the upcoming state elections.
