Actress Monika, in hibernation for quite some time now, is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Nanjupuram’ which stars small-screen’s Raaghav in the lead role.  Incidentally, the film is produced by Preetha, wife of Raaghav and a well-known small-screen actress in her own right.  Raaghav has also scored the music of the film.
The title is a dead give-away: the script of ‘Nanjupuram’ is all about the supposedly vengeful attitude of the snakes.  The films’ audio was launched some time back in the city at the Sathyam Cinemas.  Thenaandal Films, owned by Producers’ Council president Raama Narayanan, is releasing the film all over the State.

Speaking at the event, ‘Azhagi’ Monika said, “I owe a lot to director Charles, who saved my life during the shooting of the film.  We were shooting in a dense forest when I was casually sitting under a big tree and playing video games on my mobile phone.

“All of a sudden, Charles caught hold of me and pulled me ferociously.  I lost my balance but somehow recovered only to find out a huge python hanging from a branch that was directly over my head.  I can’t forget the day in my life and can’t thank Charles more for saving my life,” said Monika.
