Yuvan Shankar Raja and Director Bala joined hands for the first time as his earlier films were done by Yuvan's father Ilayaraja. The audio was supposed to release much earlier itself but as Yuvan is busy with his other assignments it got delayed. Yuvan has crooned five songs for this album. Avan Ivan features Vishal, Arya, Janani Iyer and Madhu Shalini in the lead roles. Vishal and Arya will be seen as siblings and both of them have undergone a special makeover for this film.
