This is the time for which the filmmakers are waiting. Many films got rescheduled due to World Cup, Elections, Exams and latest added factor is IPL. As the major three things WC, Elections and Exams got over the filmmakers have started scheduling their films for big summer release. Over the last couple of months the Kollywood Box Office is calm and it's the time for some thrills to chill at the box office.

It is now our turn to get ready to witness few big films like Silambarasan's Vaanam, Prabhu Deva’s romantic musical entertainer Engeyum Kaadhal one of the most awaited film Jeeva’s KO gets their release date.

Engeyum Kaadhal is one of the much awaited films in Kollywood which stars Jayam Ravi and Hansika in the lead roles. Directed by Prabhu Deva the film is expected to be a breezy romantic love story which was shot in the exotic locations in Paris. Music by Harris Jayraj has already taken its place in top chartbusters and was also awarded as the Best Selling album. Sun Productions has acquired the theatrical rights from AGS Entertainments and recently EK received U certificate from the Censor Board. The film is tentatively slated for its release on May 6th.

On the other hand, Simbu's Vaanam is also getting ready for its theatrical release on April 29th. The film is the remake of the critically acclaimed Telugu film Vedam. Simbu plays the role of a cable operator titled Cable Raja in the movie that has five stories meeting at one point. Vaanam features Anushka, Bharath, Vega, Prakash Raj, Sonia Aggarwal, Jaya Prakash and Ganesh in important roles.
