Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, daughter of Sarath Kumar is making her making her debut with this film. Apart from them Meena Latchman is playing a vital role and Director Gautham Menon will appear in a cameo. This seems like Simbu and Gautham are maintaining a good rapport even after the success in Vinnaithandi Varuvaya. Podaa Podi has six tracks and Simbu has rendered his voice for two thematic songs and his best buddy Yuvan has sung one. The title track has been rendered by Andrea and Benny Dayal. Music is by Dharan and he finished composing almost all the songs.

Silambarasan who has sound knowledge in film making is working keenly for each and aspect of the film. Podaa Podi team has left to Spain yesterday for shooting few songs and important scenes. The filming got started at the end of last year and few portions have been shot on the lead pairs in London.
