Vijay's next film Velayudham is moving on a fast pace and the unit recently wrapped up the climax sequence in Visakhapatnam.

Velayudham features Vijay, Genelia D’Souza whilst Hansika Motwani and Saranya Mohan in the lead roles. The last schedule shoot is going to take place in Chennai local area and will last for 35 days. Meanwhile the team will leave to abroad for caning a song. By wrapping up this schedule the team will be left with the post production works. So, as said by the director M. Raja the film will be hitting the screens for Vijay's birthday (June 22^nd).

The team gave a surprise to the fans by spending Rs 1.25 crore just for the intro song of Vijay. Velayudham is a big budget film produced by V.Ravichandran under the banner of Aascar International. Vijay Anthony is scoring the music for this film.
