Vettai which has to start way back has been shelved for sometime due to some production problems. Cloud Nine Movies of Dayanidhi Azhagiri has initially planned to produce Vettai but as he is busy with multi-projects it has taken over Lingusamy and his brother Subash Chandra Bose and now the film is getting produced by both of them under their home banner Tirupathi brothers.
The films shooting got stared at Karaikudi near Madurai and within no time they have completed the first schedule. The director has canned a song Dumma Dumma Dummaa which was choreographed by Brinda and nearly 2000 people along with the four lead actors took part in this song. The second schedule started a few days back in Pondicherry where few sequences will get filmed here. Madhavan is running on a hectic schedule as he busy flying several cities like Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai for his other assignments.
Vettai features Madhavan, Arya, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in lead roles. The film is touted to be a mass commercial flick. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music and composing few tunes for the film. Nirav Shah and Anthony Gonsalves are incharge of Cinematography and Editing.
