The shooting took place in Karaikudi and the director has canned important scenes and a song. The song Dumma Dumma Dummaa which was choreographed by Brinda was shot with nearly 2000 people along with the four lead actors. The film is an action entertainer and will carry all commercial elements. Vettai's next schedule is going to take place at Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi very soon. Apart from the lead roles Nasser, Thambi Ramaiah, Ranaa and others play the supporting cast.

Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Nirav Shah is in charge of cinematography while Anthony Gonsalves is working for editing. The film is jointly produced by Lingusamy and Subash Chandra Bose under Tirupathi Brothers studio. The film is being made as a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu.
