Stunning beauty Samantha Ruth Prabhu is celebrating her 24th birthday today. The actress is currently busy shooting for a Telugu movie alongside Tollywood Prince Mahesh Babu.

Samantha was born and brought up in Chennai to Mr. Prabhu and Ninette and she has two elder brothers. Samantha did her schooling at Holy Angels Anglo-India High School, and completed a degree in commerce at Stella Maris College, Chennai. She stared her career in modeling and later took a plunge into films. Though she signed to Ravi Varman's Moscow in Kavery in 2007, but her first release happened to be in Telugu titled Ye Maaya Chesave, directed by Gautham Menon. The film turned as stupendous success and there is no look back for her in her career. The actress turned as the hottest property of Tollywood and all the young heroes were at the back of her dates.

In Tamil she was spotted in films like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Baana Kaathadi, Moscowin Kavery and Nadunissi Naaygal. So far the actress has done 6 films in Tamil and Telugu. At present Samantha has four Telugu films in her kitty with all top stars. On her Kollywood front she is going to work with her debut director Gautham Menon in a film which stars Telugu actor Ram as a hero.

On seeing her career graph one can observe that she is not at all in a hurry in signing projects. Samantha didn't earn much fame in Tamil as got busy with Tollywood projects.
