Director Kumara Raja is one happy man now. After almost three years, his debut film Aaranya Kaandam is all set to hit the screens soon. 'Aaranya Kaandam' refers to a chapter in Ramyanam depicting the forest and animals. Similarly, this film will also talk about the evil in each and every human being.

One of the major highlights of the film is Jackie Shroff, who is making his Kollywood debut. "For that particular character we needed some one from Bollywood and when I narrated the script to Jackie Shroff, he immediately said yes," the director said.

After a gap, Ravi Krishna is back in Tamil with AK. "When I wrote the script, I had Ravi Krishna's modulations and looks in my mind; he fits the bill perfectly. Despite the language barrier, the film was very well received by the international audience and so I think that our audience will definitely like it," he said.

Interestingly, there are no songs in the film and the director assures that the audience will not miss this. He also feels that the background score of Aaranya Kaandam will be one of the best in Tamil Cinema till date.
