Ashwin Shekar, son of actor turned politician S Ve Shekar, has got engaged to Shruthi Venkatraman, who is a Software Engineer. The engagement ceremony took place at the Convention Centre at GRT in Chennai on May 8th (Sunday).
Ashwin has done a couple films like Vegam and Ninaivil Nindraval. The bride is the daughter of Congress member Madangi Venkatraman of Gopichatipalayam, Erode.
The engagement ceremony was graced by a large number of politicians and stars like Cho Ramasawamy, GK Vasan, EVKS Elangovan, Jagathrakshagan, Kushboo, Sundar C, Poornima Bhagyaraj, and Kavignar Kasimuthu and others.
The wedding is all set to take place on August 24th, 2011 at the Mayor Raamanathan Chettiyar Hall in Chennai and will be a a grand affair with several actors and politicians attending it.
